TO WHOMSOEVER IT MAY
CONCERN
Tanmoy
joined my team about two years ago and that is about the time I know him. For
certain critical requirement in my area, I evaluated a group of fresh joiners
and Tanmoy happened to be one of the top ranked in the evaluation process. Soon
he was inducted into my team and thus has been performing ever since. As a
manager I have worked closely with him in different phases of the project right
from the initiation. In this context I believe it’s necessary to explain
briefly the kind of mission my team is engaged into. This is a one of its kind
of work that the organization didn’t have any prior experience. Moreover, the
complexity and unknowns of the project required the team members to be very
analytical, agile and prudent. I found Tanmoy has all the right qualities that
are required to perform in this complex situation. Being an avid learner, he
has demonstrated tremendous problem handling ability, analytical skill and
ability to comprehend the situation fast.
While
working under my supervision Tanmoy demonstrated excellent ability to manage a
team, collaborated teams working in different locations, and led by example.
He worked very closely with the customer
and provided solutions to their operational and business issues. The customer
was delighted with his proactive work-style which has also enabled him to
receive frequent appreciations from higher management in the organization. He
has been a very confident person who takes up ownership of the assignments and
delivers them with quality. During the initial days of the project he learned
about the entire system in a very short time and helped the others to learn the
nuances; there were associates with designation higher than him who
participated in these sessions. Then he went on to lead the team to complete a
vital delivery successfully. He has
shown his excellence in handling business related issues and in providing
solutions to complex situations while working with the Cognizant Business
Consultant team to re-engineer the
functionality of the client system which led the way to his entry to the
continental Europe “Dream Team” for the second quarter of last year.
He
has been honest in his efforts and left no stone unturned for any given
responsibility. He always walks the extra mile to invent tools to improve the
productivity of the team; primarily to reduce repetitive manual work. Another
aspect about him I must mention is his interpersonal ability. In spite of
having very challenging work, he has been instrumental in organizing events for
the team for activities like team building, team entertainment and team events.
He singlehandedly managed all the corporate
parties,
team outing and social events in our project. His ability to structure.
prioritize and schedule responsibilities has enabled him to handle multiple engagements simultaneously.
The last annual meet of BFS–Continental Europe was entirely managed by him.
I
must mention especially about the role he plays for an array of clubs and
social forums in the organization. Tanmoy took initiative to form a band called
“PreCogs” and performs with the group as a guitar player. This band performs frequently in several major events
in our organization. Tanmoy is very active in the corporate social
responsibility wing of our organization - “Outreach” where he volunteers for
spreading education to the underprivileged.
Tanmoy
is one of the most spirited personalities I have worked with. His
insurmountable vigor propagated to others in the team and had a positive impact
on the overall work environment of the project. With a unique style of work,
innovative and creative approach to solve problems and capability to inspire
others he constituted the heart and soul of our project. The way he has handled
new challenges and has given solution to complex situation was remarkable. In
the last yearly performance review cycle he received a rating of “Exceeding
All” – highest possible rating of performance in our organization. I am sure
that he, with his diverse qualities and capabilities will add a lot of value to
