The thing that I followed and the thing that makes me
complete is – Music. Throughout my life I have been follower of rock music. It’s
something that reaches to straight to my heart right from my ears purifying all
my veins and bringing a sense of purity and completeness in my mind. Music has
brought a sense of passion to whatever I do while the structure of the songs
have taught me to be strategic and creative in my everyday life.
Music brings passion to life and meaning to our existance. I
have been playing for bands for quite some time. During college I formed band “Jumble
Hops” along with some of my friends to follow our love and passion for music.
We performed in several small venues throughout the city of Kolkata. Besides
playing guitar for the band I used to take care of managment and sound set-ups
during the live performances. Love for music led five associates from different domains in cognizant to come
together and form a band called “PreCogs”. This band performed in all the major events in
Cognizant Kolkata and recieved appriciation from all around Cognizant. Along
with music club of Cognizant we have performed in the shows organized by
“Cognizant Outreach”, social service wing of the organization. “Outreach” have
done great job in educating the underprevileged and they organize educational
and cultural events in the slums. The feeling achieved when your performance
brings hope and happiness to someone else’s life is inexplicable in words.
Right from the beginning of human race man has followed
sound of nature and rythm of their hearts beating. Music has hepled me
understand the aim and meaning of my life, given direction to my thoughts and
guided my dreams to realization. Like the voyagers of the sea of music researchers
and entreprenuers have contributed to create a nische area of study called
business administration. I want to cherish as much as knowledge possible from
the ocean of knowledge.
